ABOUT
I was born in Chinguetti, in the heart of the Sahara, where I grew up as a child and had primary schools. Later I moved to Atar for college and finally to the capital Nouakchott for high school and university, where I graduated in Sociology.
My first jobs were as a social consultant in collaboration with some local NGOs. I was a teacher, a safety consultant and for 4 years the manager of a hotel in Chinguetti. Then, at the turn of the millennium, I started working as an independent guide with various tour operators, both local and foreign.
I speak French, English, Arabic and the local dialects. In recent years I had the opportunity to offer my services to travelers from all continents, especially to European, American and Middle Eastern clients.
I love my job because it allows me not only to show the beauties of my country but also to get in touch with people and cultures different from mine, a personal enrichment for me.
